in a spectacular display of democracy in action, you get to vote for the feature you like to see the most in the forthcoming version of xplorer2. For more details on these proposed features see this post:
www.zabkat.com/blog/21Apr07.htm

note you have only one vote so think carefully!

I would rellay like to know, what will happen, if item #7 gets the majority, because of this:

I'll oblige adding it to version 1.7 (as long as it is not item #7 Smile

Hm, just an idea: Perhaps #7 gets added, even it does not get the majority? Cool

My "other" vote is for:

a. Robust transfer on same partition (1st place, for myself).

-------

and for others' frequent complaints, b & c :

b. A real fix for "don't lock browsed folder" issues while permitting the browsed folder to be the current folder for commandline launched secondary apps (unless a secondary app is active)

c. Customizable keyboard shortcut remapping.

There, I voted three times. Wink

My "other" vote is for installation WITHOUT requiring administrator rights...

my 'other' vote is for

adding a searchfield (textbox) into a toolbar, which filters display and/or searches contents in active tab. Similar to those Search - fields of Opera, Thunderbird or even Vista's Explorer (one thing I really like in Vista - searchfields everywhere)

Where's button "I want it all"? Smile

Voted for "robust delete", but having keyboard shortcuts customizable would be also good. I wish they both could slip into upcoming release...

Please, please add the searchbox like fuxs described above!  I'm always pressing Alt-H and Ctrl-J to get into and out of the visual filter.

(However, the other suggestions are good, too <snicker>)

My vote was for "Keyboard customization". It'll attract more new users to Xplorer2 who are afraid of adjusting or learning new keyboard shortcuts of xplorer2. Nikos, if you leave this feature for now, then it might not get implemented any time soon. I think this is the biggest missing piece which will make xplorer2 complete.

I'm not sure if custom icons for user commands is part of "Toolbar customization" or will be added to xplorer2 as "small improvements recommended by users in the forum". I've been waiting for this feature for a very very long time Sad.

I vote under 9.Other for dragging tabs (been waiting for this for a long time!)

Thanks.

to all those that proposed a dedicated search box, remember that there already is one, it's called Quicksearch (Mark menu). Now it seems we need a simple modifier, e.g. pressing Shift+Enter should also hide all the non-matching items, easy!

re: keyboard customization (even though that's not on my most needed list) I would suggest that there should be (at least) two standard keyboard mappings distributed with the product: one the classic COMMANDER heritage flavor; the other a WINDOZE defacto standard flavor with F4 F5 F6 for repeat last action, refresh, etc.

If toolbar customization wins, please add "custom icons" also. Right now we have 4 sets of 10 icons each (e.g. 10 hammers: I don't know which particular hammer to use.) Smile
