Cool post, but uploading to Facebook, Flickr or Smugmug makes even more sense.

it will save you a lot time uploading if you trim the size first! Think uploading 800KB vs uploading 80KB -- if you don't mind the loss in quality that is

Another good tool for resizing pictures is FastStone Photo Resizer - http://www.faststone.org/.

Nice tutorial, thanks, and it showed some really efficient xplorer˛ usage - I have as a a result, learned how to improve my use of this excellent tool.

Hello, I follow the blogs to get more of xplorer2. So I am posting comments here and there.

Irfran is very nice!!! (although I know use ACDsee 2009 to manage my photo collections) and this tutorial is friendly. With the help of a scrap folder to make a selection among several photo folders is a breeze.

Nice video and I agree with the comment re the mini-scrap.

Microsoft's Image Resizer (creates a context menu entry "Resize Pictures") is also brilliant for this:
