Congrats, Nikos! Version 1.8 is old xplorer˛ on steroids! Much faster. And even more stable on my XP system (no more problems with so-called shell extensions).
Thanks. _________________ Cheers

| Would someone be willing to post what 1.8 looks like on Win7/Vista? Before I stopped using xplorer^2, one big issue i had was that the interface integrated terribly to win7/vista's aero |

Aero integrates terribly with anything.
I could post you a screenshot on Vista, but I don't use Aero, so it doesn't make sense to you, I presume. _________________ Tux. ; tuxproject.de ; Windows Seven & XP 32-bit

Great, all the suggestions on better Windows 7 integration are dissmissed... _________________ You gotta hear that: http://www.getfugitive.com
I'm using Xplorer2 - the only file manager that does not suck. Actually, it rocks! |

Sorry to disturb the party. There is still a bug, reported 1 month ago for the beta:
In reproducible steps:
1. Make a screenshot and paste it into a folder; EDIT: Open QV at least shortly.
2. Make another screenshot and paste it into the same folder.
You get prompted whether or not to rename the x2scrap.png file.
3. Open the quick view and you will see ... the old picture (which is in fact not more there at all ). You can close and reopen Quick View, move to another file in the same folder and back to x2scrap.png, you still see the old one.
4. If you make a manual refresh (ctrl-r) or switch to another folder and back you see the new picture.
This is clearly a bug, because:
A) Quick View shows something, what is not there. (I wonder, how this can happen, that QV "finds" somewhere an information, which is overwritten.) That is terrific. If you cannot trust in QV, how can you use it?
B) X2 does not autorefresh a folder, although the change in the folder is done by x2 itself . (Before you ask about the settings, reread my report in the above linked thread.)
I intentionally do not write about the annoyances (and more) in behalf of this feature and others, which have been discussed already. _________________ Thomas
