"Everyone has all the answers within him" — Socrates

Self-help sessions

If you are a registered customer you are entitled and will receive support from the developer. However, since our company is no giant multinational with infinite resources, we would appreciate if you made a small effort to troubleshoot your problem yourself first. There is a wealth of information and your query will most often than not be satisfied by the existing documentation:

  • On-board instructions
The status bar in xplorer˛ shows quick explanations of commands as you browse the menu system. Sometimes this is all that's required for clarification. The tooltips in dialog boxes give brief descriptions of complicated input fields.

  • Help files and documentation
When you install xplorer˛ you get a lot of useful files in the installation folder (usually c:\program files\zabkat\xplorer2). The "bitesize" help x2help.htm (also available online) and the tips & tricks file x2tips.rtf have extensive information for the basic and advanced use of the program. The user manual available as a separate download is the most definitive resource. You can search for keywords that best describe your query and see if you find anything relevant.

  • Frequently Asked Questions
There is a well organized FAQ section that covers most usual questions and problems. Please use your browser's search command to locate your keyword of interest.

  • Support forums
Harvest the accumulated knowledge of users that may have had the same problem before you! Please use the search facility first and if unsuccessful post your new question in the appropriate forum. Note that there are separate forums for the lightweight and professional versions.
    · search the knowledge base
    · read or post to the professional version forum
    · read or post to the free version forum

Thank you for your effort!
